It takes a village to sew 1000 tentacles!

Bria sewing scales…and that is pretty close to how many tentacles we made!  Think about it: anemone, squid, octopus…. You do the math, he he he.

The weeks leading up the the June performance of A Murmured Tale prompted the laborious project of the sewing of hundreds (and hundreds!) of tentacles, scales and more. These glittery fabrics did not agree with the sewing machine, so we had the pleasure of hand-stitching each tentacle, one by one.

mikeThis endeavor could not have been done without the help of friends, lots of movies and other nice goodies to keep the momentum and the tentacles flowin’.

Big thanks to all of our friends who came over and helped by sewing (some of whom had hardly sewn before), or just by providing moral support or feeding us cheese, chocolate and wine (doesn’t sound half bad, right?).anemone

With all the help and wonderful energy of our friends, we were able to complete this immensely tedious tentacle task in a matter of… days!, and many new tentacled creatures were added to the ensemble of underwater creatures.
Who could ask for anything more?
